Podcasting Workshop
Starting in September 2022, Ms. Rogers has led a workshop for students to develop their own podcasts. The workshop takes place 3 or 4 times a week.
Students recorded podcasts on topics reflecting their varied interests and passions, including entertaining stories from history, focused exploration of science topics, and literary analysis. The students were responsible for every step of the planning process, including brainstorming a topic, researching, writing a script, recording, and editing each podcast.
Students engaged their creativity and learned to oversee large projects. Sixth grader Grace Aquino Saballa said of the workshop, “I became better at planning things out and fully double-checking before doing.”
Here are a some podcasts produced by students:
Maelys Gbarre: Brother Rabbit and the Tar Baby
Allin Onque:Historical Hillarious History
Gabriel Rodriguez: Wildly Dangerous Poison and Venom
