A child’s education at Discovery prepares them to meet the academic challenges of high school and college education, makes them critical and independent thinkers and helps them to become confident decision-makers about their character and the path their lives will take. We remain a support system to our students throughout their academic careers, by providing scholarships, counseling and a home base for them to re-fuel their passion for learning. Our commitment to creating engaged, informed citizens is our pledge of commitment to the betterment of the city of Newark.

Your donations to Discovery Charter School will go to expand our already wide-ranging curricular programs, provide opportunities for our students to participate in learning opportunities away from the school environment and offer scholarships to our students to engage in summer learning activities. With your gift, we will be able to help our graduating 8th graders attend the high school that most fulfills their academic needs, if that school is a private and/or boarding institution.

*Discovery Charter School is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit entity and all donations to Discovery are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. To view our most recent Annual Report, click here.

Matching Gift
Many employers will match their employee’s donation. Some companies match 1:1 and others match as much as 3:1 or 4:1. It is an excellent way to make your gift to Discovery go as far as possible.
