Our History

Discovery Charter School was established in September 1999 and was still led by one of its co-founders, Dr. Irene Hall until she retired in June 2019.

Since its inception, Discovery Charter School has thrived as one of the top performing schools in New Jersey by utilizing the "discovery" approach to teaching and learning, i.e., by engaging in the learning community and allowing each child to uncover his or her own unique talents and abilities through a hands-on, interactive, problem solving, exploratory learning process.
