Hello,

During these weeks of test preparation, we alternate between moments when we give immediate feedback to our students, and moments when we let them work in “test conditions,” completely on their own

We want our students to confidently try solving a math problem, responding to a text, or analyzing a science experiment, even when they think they “don’t know the answer.” This ability to try with confidence, and receive feedback with an open mind, is key to their academic success, way beyond the NJSLA tests.

It was wonderful this week to have the visit of several parents who came to encourage their child in their class. We are grateful for your support and for your willingness to search for solutions together.

On Monday our 4th and most of our 6th graders will start taking the NJSLA math and ELA tests. They will work on one unit each morning. It is very important that the children come to school on time, and fully rested.
