How to Apply
You can come to the school and apply in person.
or
You can apply online through the Newark Common App either on your computer or on your phone. Make sure to rank Discovery as your first choice. You will receive a confirmation email after submitting your application. If you need help, come to Discovery and we will help you complete the application. You can also look at the Parent Guide for the Newark Common App.
4th Graders
Each year, we welcome 20 new fourth graders.
20 children will be selected from the applications submitted on the Newark Common App by March 11, 2024. The results will be issued on April 8, 2024. If more than 20 children applied, the other children will be placed on a waiting list. You need to rank Discovery as your first choice in order to be considered first.
Grades 5-8
We do accept children entering grades 5-8 in September if we have seats available. Fill out an application on the Newark Common App and we will let you know if a seat is available, or we will add you to our waiting list and will contact you as soon as a seat becomes available.
Siblings
Applicants who have a sibling currently attending Discovery receive priority for admission. Siblings who are applying at the same time receive priority to be enrolled together. Just make sure that you answer the sibling question on the Newark Common App.
