Internet Use and Social Media
All students receive a school-issued email address, usually their first name and their last name’s initial @discoverycs.org.
This email account is NOT private. We will give you the username and password so you can monitor your child’s email as you see fit.
Discovery staff members may also log in to your child’s email. Please remind your child NOT to communicate any private information or pictures on their school email and Google account.
It is the responsibility of the school to be aware of social media activities that might disrupt the learning environment, whether the social media activity happens during school hours or not.
We encourage you to monitor your child’s social media accounts very closely, and to teach your student/s what is appropriate and what is not appropriate to post. At their ages, our students are still learning to communicate safely and they need your help figuring it out.
