On Tuesday, February 28th, Discovery students and parent experienced a fun-filled evening of mathematical thinking for 'Family Math Night'. Parents filed into Discovery and gladly participated in all the activities that our math staff had to offer.
The event was designed to emphasize and provide students and their families with practical and fun ways to make learning effective and enjoyable. Our math teachers provided tips to our parents on how to better help their child solve math problems and understand their process of thinking. The night included games, puzzles such as 'Sets', marble games, chess and a delicious potluck dinner contributed by our staff and parents.
Many thanks to the families who came out an participated in the night's festivities. Also, a special thanks to our math teachers who did all they can to take make the night a complete success.
